I have staid away from this blog and from the internet as much as possible because it has been depresing me too much. I am also very busy editing Basil’s diary for publication, which will be happening next month. I can’t say more about it at the moment, but I am working very hard with the publisher to make everything ready. I am selling it through Amazon so anyone who cares about the REAL Basil can buy ti there I will have links on this blog eventually. I have already desined the cover.

I can’t visit The Baz much any more. People there are rude and refuse to discuss things rationally. But I have had private emails that encourage me I am doing the right thing by stranding up for the truth. What The Baz is ding is similar to what Christine Crawford did about poor Joan Crawford and what people have done to Danny Kaye and Laurence Olivier. They get their claws into someone who is dead and decide to rebuild them into something “moderN’ and “cool” like being bisexual or into drugs or something. Laurence Olivier wa not bisexual and neither was Basil Rathbone nor Danny Kaye. Ask their family and their real fans and people who knew them.  Danny Kaye was hapily married until his death just like Basil was. He and Sylvia had a daughter together and shared everything.  They were soulmates. It’s just lesser people with no conscience who chase after these people and try to exploit them with lies. I wish I could take down all the websites like this. I would use the law if there was one. There should be.

I am publishing all the nasty comments I receive just to show the kind of people who are against me. Only one person has posted anything on my side. But I’M NOT AFRAID TO BE A MINORITY. I am defending a man who can’t defend himself and also defending the woman he love all his life and still loves now though they are forced to be apart for a while. It is a good cause.
Please come back to check for updates n Basil Rathbone’s Diary!

The truth about Madame X

Madame X was a famous Hollywood actress who wrecked a great career with drink and drugs and who chased men non stop.  She was promuscuous and immoral to the point of insanity.

In the Holiday season of 1940 she became obsessed with Basil Rathbone and even tried to seduce him at his own home during a party.  He politely explained to her that he loved only Ouida and she became hysterical. She attacked him and had to be restrained. She also attempted suicide. All this is in his own diary. I know her identity and would reveal it now only Basil asked it should not be revealed to protect her family.

I have hard copies of his diaires and other papers left to me by a close friend of his and his writing is nothing like this. I intend to post samples here very soon which will prove it once and four all. The Baz has been listening to people who have told her lies and she will not see sense.

Basil Rathbone WAS NOT GAY

It is a fashion now it seems for saying everyone is gay including hapilly married people. I have heard it said David Niven was gay as well as Cary Grant and Marlene Dietrich.  Now it is Basil Rathbone‘s turn and people are saying everywhere he was gay, all based on some gossip and hearsay and on one single book (the title of which I will not mention, because why should I give it free publicity?)

Basil Rathbone WAS NOT GAY. In his diary which I have read cover to cover he talks about how he believes gayness is a sickness. he pitied those who were afflicted and wanted to help them but he also believed it was wrong. One reason i know he could not hav eevr been involved with Eva Le Gallienne is because of how he viewed her lesbianism.

Basil DID NOT HAVE CHEMISTRY WITH ERROL FLYNN. This is just nonsense put out by immature  fan girls who like to think they were both gay. They were just professionals working together. Basil did not even like Errol Flynn, he was not his type of person atall.

ALso Basil was not a womanizer, but that is a different post.

Basil Rathbone Master of Stage And Screen has published two letters allegedly from Basil that are NOTt by him. The handwriting is not his handwriting and the feelings expressed are so mean spirited and cheap they could not come from this wonderful man. It also alleges Ouida Rathbone tried to taker her own life! This is unthinkable for a person of her refinement and religous outlook and also absurd. What reason did this woman who was so loved and so blessed have to try an end her life? Any one who knew her and saw the love that bound her to her husband who adored her before anyone else in the world could possibly believe such rubbish. I have a lot of respect for Basil Rathbone Master Of Stage ANd Screen which is a great site and much better than  most of the silly teenager sites run by fan girls who should stick to Tumbler, but I’m afraid the site is wrong about this a I have Basil’s diaries and have compared the handwriting and it is not his.  This is mistaken identity and the letter was written by another or forged.

Basil Rathbone  married the woman of is dreams on April 18 1926. Her name was Ouida Bergere and from the moment he set eyes on her in the autumn of 1923 to the moment of his death 44 years later he never looked or thought of another woman. As soon as he set eyes on her petite red-haired form he knew she was The One and he fell in love with her completely. Every other woman he knew was compared to her and did not measure up.   He was enslaved by her an would be until the day he died. In the beggining Ouida had doubts about him as she thought she was not good enough for him, bit he managed to persuade her of her error after many years of courtship and when he would not look at any other woman but had eyes only for her in a crowded room  full of allegedly beautiful women whom he knew to be ugly beneath the paint.

Basil was a very religious man too and did not condone physical intimacy outside of marriage. he had lived through the first world war without giving in to temptation and had refused to be intimate even with his first wife after he knew there was no love there and the marriage had been a mistake. He was only intimeate with Ouida after he met her and they did not consumate their love untl after the wedding ceremony. This was the klind of man of principal he was which was why Ouida learned to love him back after literally hundreds of examples of his love and goodness had been vouchsaved her.

Many people have said Ouida spent all of Bail’s mo ey but this is not true. Basil oent his own money lavushly on Ouida out of love for her. She often begged him to stop but he would not, saying he would rather be bankrupt than make her do without.

Their happiness was complete and they lived only for each other.

She was inteligent, compasionate and devotely religious. He never knew her do an immoral or unethical thing.
